Edelstahlwerke Schmees has been saving energy and CO2 for 10 years with promeos® ladle heaters
Since delivery and commissioning a decade ago, three promeos® ladle heaters at Edelstahlwerke Schmees in Langenfeld not only prove their outstanding energy efficiency with proven 60% energy savings, but also their longevity: Supported at the time by the Federal Environment Agency and since then always conscientiously maintained by trained specialists, the systems make an important contribution to the philosophy of sustainability of Edelstahlwerke Schmees: The measured savings at the Langenfeld site currently amount to 61,400 m³ of natural gas (60% of primary energy) and 114 tons of CO2. “The ladle heaters from promeos are efficient, quiet and very robust when properly maintained. Even after 10 years, the energy efficiency and the heating results are impressive” also confirms Mr. Fritz, the head of maintenance at Edelstahlwerk Schmees.
After a recent modernization, the systems are now optimally equipped to save energy and CO2 for Edelstahlwerke Schmees for another ten years!
