On August 8, 2024, exactly one year after a devastating fire completely destroyed the plant, WIEGEL Denkendorf reached a significant milestone: The first hot-dip galvanizing in the newly rebuilt and modernized plant was successfully carried out.

Our team, led by Volkan Genc and Marvin Birckigt, successfully commissioned the electric modules of the galvanizing furnace at WIEGEL Denkendorf. Now the power generated by Wiegel´s own photovoltaic system can be also used for heating the galvanizing vessel.
