promeos® and Wiegel put the world’s most modern galvanizing furnace into operation.
The system was developed and implemented entirely by promeos® in cooperation with the Wiegel administration. In this plant, parts up to 6.8 meters in length can be galvanized. It is equipped with four burner lines of 3.20 m each to heat the boiler evenly and with homogeneous heat. Thus, so-called “hotspots” or “burner spots” – which damage the boiler wall – are avoided. The aim is to significantly extend the life of the boiler. The liquid zinc is continuously kept at a temperature of 450°C.
