PROMEOS® GLASS COOLING AND ANNEALING SYSTEM

The promeos® glass cooling and annealing system is custom-designed for continuous glass production.

When hot glass is transported from forming or heat-treatment zones to areas with significantly lower temperatures, uncontrolled cooling can cause thermal stresses, cracks, and product loss.

promeos® addresses this challenge by applying controlled, flameless heat inside or around the conveyor tunnel. This keeps the cooling curve stable and the process predictable.

HOW IT WORKS

The system delivers controlled, flameless heat along the conveyor tunnel to regulate the glass’s temperature profile as it transitions from the forming temperature to the subsequent target temperature.

This reduces the risk of thermal shock, which can cause cracks. Depending on the tunnel design, heat transfer occurs through radiation, convection, or a combination of both.

Different production challenges require different integration approaches.

That is why promeos® offers both stationary solutions for fixed positions on the line and movable modules that can be relocated to other sections of the conveyor belt as production requirements change.

This makes the system suitable for packaging glass and tableware, as well as for new production lines and retrofit projects where existing cooling or annealing zones require better thermal control.
