The mobile melting furnace promeos m.pot® proves its outstanding energy efficiency.

During the ETAL project, novel technologies, plant components and logistics for energy-efficient production in light metal foundries were developed in cooperation with the project partners Leichtmetallgießerei Bad Langensalza GmbH, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.. One of these technologies is the mobile melting furnace m.pot with heatdock from promeos®. In the project, it impressively demonstrated its enormous energy efficiency: Compared to conventional tilting crucible furnaces and the required holding furnaces, 41% less CO2 emissions and 36% less energy requirements were demonstrated in relation to the overall process (melting and casting). A cost comparison showed that costs were almost halved (-48%).
